My heart is heavy to read about Harold's passing. He filled the world with such laughter and positive energy. When I was principal of Huntingdon Academy, Harold was my right hand man. As custodian, he not only dealt with the daily maintenance but he enhanced the lives of all the children. I had placed a heart sign above the office door and under the heart, was written "There is love in this school." I could hear Harold walk by the office every day and chant in his big voice "There is love in this school!" He believed that and so did the children. He made them feel special. Harold will be missed by so many. My love to all the family. He was such a good, honest man.

"The measure of a man comes down to moments, spread out like dots of pain on the canvas on life. Everything you were, everything you'll someday be, resides in the small, seemingly ordinary choices of everyday life.....Each decision seems as insignificant as a left turn on an unfamiliar road when you have no destination in mind. But the decisions accumulate until you realize one day that they've made you the man that you are."

Harold made the choice upon this earth to be a true man, a good man, a man of God.

He blessed all that knew him with his presence, his wisdom, his friendship, and his love.

May the Good Lord God receive Harold in His heavenly home and hold him, forevermore.

May the Lord God Bless Roberta his wife, and his family, with strength, comfort, and His unending love.

    Debbie Sproule

*Thank you Harold for being the best friend, and the best example of a good man for my husband Keith.

My deepest sympathy to Roberta and family. I have many found memories of Harold during his time at Huntingdon Academy. He was such a positive presence in the school. I often think about him and the way he and Russell would decorate the halls with strings of lights for Christmas. It’s was the most beautiful thing.

    Harold Wilson

Harold was a Jewel of a man. He made many wonderful contribution to everyone his life touched. In his chosen career as custodian in many of the schools in our beautiful Chateaugay Valley he created wonderful relationships first with the students in the school and second with the staff in those schools. His conscientiousness in carrying out his responsibilities he always exuded a positive and cheerful aura. His smile and humour lifted the spirits of all those he met in his travels though out the day. He was a very special friend who always saw the positive in any situation he encountered. Even through the difficult time that he endured in his recent battle with cancer he always saw the upside of his reality. He will be hugely missed by all those he touched.

My deepest condolences to Roberta and all the family for your loss of this exceptional gem of a man. His positive outlook, humor, kindness, warmth, and concern for others were always evident during my time at the Huntingdon Academy with the students and staff. My home renovation and building projects over the years could not have been accomplished without his expert advice and help. I'm very grateful to have known this kind, considerate, honorable gentleman. The light of Harold's pure goodness will remain in the memories of the people whose life he touched.

Our sincere condolences on zharold,s passing. We really did not know him that well until he helped us with some carpentry projects. He would always arrive in a jovial mood, which seemed to rub off on us.His work ethic and genuine love if what he was actually going left a good feeling throughout the day. As the projects continued we often are lunch together and this is where we really got to know him He enjoyed the simple things in life, was consumed with his love and dedication to family. His happiest times seem to be in Sugaring with Keith Rennie,Camping at High Falls, helping fellow campers, and touring hisrelatives around in his Golf Card. Was an exceptional individual and will be missed.

What a joy it has been to be in the company of Harold. I so looked forward to time in the sugar shanty and spins yarns. There are many in this community that have been touched by the gentle country ways he held to and passed on to many young 'uns! May he find rest and comfort as he journeys on.
