Keith Walton passed away peacefully at the age of 89 at the Barrie Memorial Hospital in Ormstown, Quebec on February 4, 2026. Predeceased by his wife Sylvia May Howarth April 26, 2005. Leaves to mourn: His companion and dear friend Elsie (Sutton) Welburn, Isobel (Welburn) and James Lindsay, Stephen (Bonnie) and John (Emma) Francom, daughter-in-law Bonnie Tremblay, grandson Stephan Tremblay and nephew Philip (Karyn) Walton. Many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Keith was born in England August 17, 1936 to Alfred (Alf) and Hilda (Severn) Walton. He served in the Royal Air Force, rank LAC from 1954-1956. In 1957 he immigrated to Canada and in 1964 became a Canadian citizen. Keith enjoyed country life, country music, dancing, gardening and enjoyed a period of beer brewing; winning awards at the Hemmingford annual beer and wine contests. Keith worked for K&E for 37 years achieving the position of Office Manager before retiring in 1993. Keith was an active member of the Anglican community and served as peoples warden for a time. In 2005 Keith became an Anglican Lay Reader either assisting or officiating at many services, weddings and funerals and was Padre for the Legion for several years. Keith took great joy in serving others and loved acting in this capacity. Memorial service will take place Saturday May 2, 2026 at 11a.m in St. John’s Anglican Church Huntingdon. Burial following the service at Huntingdon Protestant Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion. In lieu of flowers donations to St-John’s Church would be appreciated.
