Margaret Rowat nee Tallon

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Mary Elizabeth Rowat (nee Tallon) beloved wife of the late Watson Rowat, at the age of 90 years and 3 weeks from congestive heart failure. She passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Margaret is survived by her son Wayne Rowat, her sister Alberta Steele (late James), niece Joan Ross, nephew Brian Tallon and their children and grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Pierce Millie), Allan (the late May), and James (Eila). She spent her years of paid employment as a mender of cloth at various textile mills in Huntingdon, Quebec and Cambridge, Ontario, (1943-1989). Margaret never talked about religion, rather she lived her faith with acts of kindness, generosity and Christian service. Shalom Margaret. You will be greatly missed.
Visitations will be held at Rodrigue Montpetit & Fils Funeral Home 170 Châteauguay St., Huntingdon on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 9 to 11 am followed by a Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am. Burial at Althelstan Presbyterian Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stoke Society. www.rodriguemontpetitfils.com

    I remember Margaret as a great neighbour on Wellington Street. We all remember red haired Margaret driving around town in her sporty, Pontiac Lemans. Rest in Peace.

    I'm so sorry to hear that Margaret Rowat (Tallon) has passed away. I well remember her, when we worked at Clyn & Tinker (Leach Textiles) many years ago, about 1963. A wonderful Lady!! RIP Margaret ~ ~
